Link Aircel Sim Card To Aadhar
Your Aircel Mobile SIM that you are using may get suspended permanently if you fail to adhere to the guidelines issued by the Department of Telecommunication, Government of India. According to the guidelines, all the active numbers including the Aircel numbers should be connected or linked to the Aadhaar Card of the subscriber.
This has been done to reduce the fake SIMs that are floating across the country and it should be done on or before 6th Feb 2018.
What must be done?
You need to ensure that your Aadhaar Card is ready and is updated. In case, if you still do not have your Aadhaar Card; then, this is the time when you cannot make any other delay. You can use the online and offline procedures to apply for the card. Also, the mobile number registered with the Aadhaar card should be active. This is required because the verification SMSs are sent to this registered number.
You must visit the nearest Aircel Xpress centre and ask the executive to link your active Mobile SIM with your Aadhaar.
You will be asked the Aadhaar details that should be entered in the Bio Metric System.
You will receive an OTP from the Aadhaar department on your registered number.
The bio metric system would have the fingerprint scanner and you must verify your fingerprint as well.
You will receive another SMS on your registered mobile number for the confirmation of the same.
Once completed, you will be asked for your basic details of the active Aircel SIM and personal details. The same should be entered into the system again.
You will now receive an SMS on your active Aircel number and you have to reply to that SMS by typing “YES”.
Well, now, your Aircel Mobile SIM is linked with the Aadhaar Card and there is no fear suspension of your service.
